EZProxy for Safari

Easy off-campus access to scholarly materials through your institution’s proxy. Use your University/College Library EZProxy or OpenAthens to access subscription articles and books via your library in one click.

What it does

  • Uses your library’s EZProxy or OpenAthens service to sign in and reach full-text resources.
  • One-click from the Safari toolbar when you’re on a journal/article page.
  • Works great off-campus for articles and, in some cases, eBooks.

Quick start

  1. Open the app and set your institution’s proxy URL.
  2. Choose whether to keep or close the current tab after redirect.
  3. Enable the extension in Safari.
  4. Enable always on all websites.
  5. Click the toolbar icon on an article page to route via your library.
  6. Using OpenAthens? Just enter your institution’s domain name.
